PESHAWAR, June 20: The federal minister for women development, social welfare and special education, Dr Attiya Inayatullah, has said that Islamabad will help Kabul to rehabilitate war widows.

She was speaking at a function organized by the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees to commemorate the World Refugees Day on Thursday.

The theme of the Refugee Day for this year is ‘refugee women’. A two-day Afghan handicraft exhibition has been organized to mark the day. Refugee children from various schools presented sang national songs on the occasion.

The minister said that Islamabad and Kabul had worked out a need-based programme which would try to rehabilitate the war widows and women head of household through a skill training programme.
