DADU, Oct 31: Vocalist Manzoor Ali Sakhirani alongwith his four colleagues Mehboob Sakhirani, Nisar Sial, Nazakat Maghanhar and Mehboob Maghanhar, was released after 110 days captivity.

Sakhirani and his four friends arrived at his Otaque in Markhur Mohalla of Dadu town in a car on Wednesday.

The driver of the kidnapped vocalist, Ghulam Qadir Panhwar and his friend Ghulam Hussain Solangi were freed by the dacoits 21 days ago after reportedly paying ransom amount through an influential landlord of Sukkur division.

Manzoor Ali Sakhirani and his six colleagues were kidnapped by a gang of the dacoits at Sukkur-Khairpur National Highway, some 110 days ago.

The sources said that the relatives of vocalist Manzoor Sakhirani and his friends had reportedly paid a huge amount as ransom to the dacoit Bachloo Teghani for his freedom.

When this correspondent contacted Sakhirani, he declined to disclose the name of any dacoit.

He only thanked the people who protested for his release.

When the news of his release was broken, hundreds citizens, singers, political worker of various political parties, doctors arrived at his autaque and congratulate him for his freedom from the captivity of the dacoits.

Manzoor Sakhirani was recovered from Shah Belo forest, report our Sukkur correspondent reports.

According to the details, some people of Jaferabad had invited him for a function.

On his way to Jaferabad, the dacoits intercepted his car and kidnapped him along with his seven musicians near Khairpur.

Sources said that he was kidnapped by dacoits as he had Rs. one million with him.
