LAKKI MARWAT, Oct 31: Carjackers snatched a flying coach at gunpoint in the Tajir area on Monday night.
a Kot Kashir-bound flying coach (PR-9349) was intercepted and hijacked by three unidentified men while it was passing from Dray Plari, about 25km from here.
The armed men asked the driver to get down and drove the vehicle towards Serai Gambillah.
However, after covering some distance the coach got stuck in a pool of mud. Meanwhile, the driver, Jamil Khan, had informed the inhabitants of Kot Kashir, who started chasing the culprits and reached the spot.
When the carjackers sensed danger they opened fire. The villagers returned the fire. After a brief encounter, the carjackers managed to flee, leaving behind the vehicle.
