Four killed in Mardan

MARDAN, Oct 31: Four persons including one committed suicide were killed in different incidents in Mardan and Dargai areas in the last 24 hours.

At Gujjar Garhi town two outlaws, Bahader and his son Assad Khan, fired upon Dr Javed and his brother Rashid Khan in his clinic in which Rashid died on the spot while the doctor received serious injuries. Javed was admitted to a local hospital where the doctors said his condition was critical. The cause of the incident was stated to be gunda tax from the victims, who refused to pay, which led to the brutal incident.

In another incident, a 17-year-old boy allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself in his room, on late Monday night. The victim was identified as Arshad who developed some dispute over a domestic issue with his parents while the incident occurred at Dargai town some 44km away from here.

An outlaw, Musa khan, fired upon his rival identified as Shaukat Khan, in a cattle fair who died on the spot. A passerby Miraj Gul and the accused, Musa, also received injuries when the victim retaliated.

At Katlang village unidentified persons gunned down a resident of the area inside his house.

The deceased was identified as Arshad Khan. Mother of the victim while registering an FIR against the accused claimed no such enmity or dispute with someone in the area.
