ISLAMABAD, June 16: The government on Saturday transferred two civil judges of Islamabad to Lahore while two judicial officers of Lahore have been asked to replace them.

According to official sources, the two civil judges Syed Muzaffar Ali Shah and Jehangir Mir have been transferred to Lahore since their term of assignment had exceeded by three years.

The two judicial officers, continued in Islamabad beyond the stipulated term because the number of officers were less then required by the government.

Official sources said according to the new orders by the government in consultation with the LHC, Waqarul Hassan would replace Syed Muzaffar Ali Shah and Akram Sheikh would replace Jehangir Mir. Both the new officers were posted in Lahore. Jehangir Mir had sustained injuries after the detonator of a hand grenade exploded in his hand while hearing a case registered under the explosives act, last month.
