PESHAWAR, June 14: Bajaur and Mohmand tribesmen have sought government permission to allow them to move to the Line of Control to thwart the possible Indian aggression.

Speaking at a joint press conference here on Friday the notables of the two tribal areas said Kashmir was an integral part of Pakistan and tribesmen were fully prepared to defend every inch of the motherland.

More than 60 tribal elders from the two agencies were present at the press conference. A representative Jirga was also constituted to meet corps commander of Peshawar to convey the feelings of the people of Federally Administered Tribal Areas.

Malik Haji Abdul Manan Mohmand vowed that in case of incursion of the Indian army the people of eight tribal agencies including Frontier Regions would be on the front line to give a matching response to the erstwhile enemy. He announced: “Tribesmen have sufficient stock of arms and they do not need Pakistan’s army assistance in that regard”.

He said their grandfathers rendered sacrifices in 1948 to liberate Kashmir from the Indian occupation and once again they were ready to fight against the occupied forces. He also warned against any deal on Kashmir.

The tribesmen of North and South Waziristan Agencies will meet in Miranshah and Wana, the agencies headquarters respectively on Saturday to organise a armed force to help Pakistan army along the LoC.
