D. I. Khan Nazim presents budget

DERA ISMAIL KHAN, Oct 30: The district government has presented a surplus financial budget of 2001-2002.

The district government expects to receive a total of Rs923.114 million through various receipts. Over Rs245.451 million (26.51 per cent of the total receipts) has been allocated for development works,   while Rs668.427 (72.41 per cent of the total revenue) would be non-development expenditure, with a total saving of Rs92.36 million   (1.08 per cent).

District Nazim Latifullah Khan Alizai presented the first-ever budget of the district government in the assembly.

Inayatullah Khan Miankhel, deputy district Nazim, conducted the session as convener at the district auditorium hall.

Of the Rs245.451 development allocation, Rs4.97 and Rs17.8 have been allocated for the Khushhal Pakistan Programme and social development programme, respectively. A total of Rs44.5 million and   Rs10 million have been allocated for health and education sectors, respectively.
