CHIT CHAT: Meet Anwar Maqsood

Published August 29, 2008

Anwar Maqsood`s name needs no introduction. He is Pakistan`s renowned painter, host, lyricist and story writer. He is a master at comedy which will have you in splits in no time. Although, all his work have been top class, to choose a few Half Plate, Yeh Kahan Ki Dosti Hai and Daur-e-Junoon are simply irresistible. In serials, the best include Colony52, Angan Terha and Sitara aur Mehrunnisa while in shows; my favourites remains Silver Jubilee, Loose Talk and Studio 230. Anwar Maqsood is also an awe-inspiring lyricist. His recent projects include Strings` Koi Aanay Wala Hai and songs of Ramchand Pakistani. He is the most humorous man I have ever come across.
