TOBA TEK SINGH, June 7: Special Attention Towards Handicapped (Sath) organization has started donating wheelchairs to the poor disabled children in the district.

The function was held here on Friday with Father Bonnie Mendes in the chair while deputy district officer (revenue) Aslam Bhatti was the chief guest.

Three disabled children Nabila, Iqra and Muhammad Naveed were given wheelchairs by the chief guest.

Speaking on the occasion, Sath president Waseem Gill and Anisa Noureen said the “Sath” was also providing physiotherapy facility to the disabled children.

BODY EXHUMED: City police on Friday exhumed the body of an 18-year-old boy from the fields of a nearby Chak 322-JB.

Muhammad Qasim had been called out from his house by Khan Muhammad and his two accomplices Irfan and Nasir of the same village two days ago.

They took him to fields where they tortured him to death. The deceased had been alleged to have relations with the daughter of Khan Muhammad. Later, the outlaws buried the body in the farmland outside the village.

They confessed to their crime when police arrested them. Police later exhumed the body on their pointation.

APPROVED: The district government on Friday approved sewerage and disposal work projects for Pirmahal.

An official told that Rs10.03 million would be spent on the laying of sewerage pipelines and construction of disposal works. He said the work would be completed within six months.

ARRESTED: Gojra City police on Friday arrested a spurious mobil oil seller from Tariqabad locality.

Police also recovered hundreds of gallons of spurious mobil oil from Malik Muhammad Zaman.
