Kidnapped

SANGHAR, April 16: A grower was kidnapped by a gangs of bandits in Ali Mohammad Talpur village in the jurisdiction of the Jhol police late Monday night.

The victim, Jan Mohammad Talpur alias Jani, with two villagers was irrigating his agricultural lands when the gang of armed dacoits caught hold of him and started dragging him.

The two villagers, who also had guns, did not dare to engage the bandits and ran away to the village where they resorted to aerial firing to alert the villagers.

The police went after the dacoits but failed to trace them as they lost their footprints near Bobi.

Earlier the same gang stormed Col Iftikhar Ahmed village and Murad Ali Talpur village. They took a gun from the latter and beat Mohammad Amin Arain in the former latter.
