HYDERABAD, April 16: On the call of the action committee for the recovery of Professor Mohammad Hussain Leghari, the faculty members and staff of the Liaquat Medical University, members of the PMA and other people of medical profession staged a protest demonstration at the OPD of the Liaquat University Hospital, city branch, here on Tuesday.

They also observed one hour token strike from 11am to 12 noon.

The conveyor of the committee, Prof Nazir Ashraf Leghari, the president of the PMA, Sindh, Dr. Noor Mohammad Memon and others expressed their grave concern over the delay in the recovery of the kidnapped professor.

They demanded of the Sindh government and the law enforcement agencies to make all efforts for the safe recovery of the professor.

They also appealed to the governor of Sindh and the officials of the home and health department not to test the patience of doctors and other people of medical profession.

The protesters further decided that the private clinics of consultants, general practitioners and all private health facilities, including laboratories, ultra sound and X-Rays, would remain closed for 24 hours on Friday.
