ISLAMABAD, April 15: A special meeting of the federal cabinet will be held on Tuesday to discuss and approve a number of new amendments to the constitution for ensuring continuity of the government’s policies and for striking a balance in the prerogatives of three power brokers — the president, the prime minister and the chief of the army staff.
Official sources said on Monday that the meeting would have a two-point agenda; discussing the prospects of winning the referendum to be held on April 30 and amending various articles of the constitution.
