QUETTA, April 13: Four persons were killed and several others injured, two of them seriously, when two passenger wagons collided near Bakhtirabad, some 240km from here on Saturday, police sources said.
They said two passenger wagons, one coming from Sibi and another from Jacobabad, had collided while crossing each other. As a result both turned turtle killing two passengers on the spot and injuring over a dozen.
The injured were rushed to Civil Hospital Sibi where three of them succumbed to their injuries before getting any medical aid, hospital sources confirmed.
A wagon driver and a passenger, in serious condition, were shifted to the Civil Hospital Quetta while others were admitted in Sibi hospital. The deceased were identified as Meharullah Khan, Mohammad Yousaf, Ghous Bukhsh and Najma Bibi.
Some of the injured include driver Dost Mohammad, Haji Nazir Mohammad, Safia Bagum, Naz Bibi, Khurshid Khan and Bhawal Khan, while names of others could not be ascertained.
In another accident a Quetta-bound passenger coach turned turtle near Kolpur, 50km from Quetta. One was killed and five others injured.
