LAHORE, June 5: Midfielder Waseem Ahmad will join the national hockey camp for July’s Manchester Commonwealth Games on June 10 after returning from Germany where he is playing league.

Besides Waseem, Sohail Abbas and Kashif Jawwad, who had also gone to play league in Malaysia, have returned and reported at the camp.

“We will be gradually building up the tempo of training and are implementing game plans slowly giving time to players to adopt and adjust,” coach Tahir Zaman, said.

Tahir said daily six hours training was for extracting best out of the players who were being trained on Asian and European pattern.—APP
