LAHORE, April 4: An Al-Jazeera TV spokesman said on Thursday that the channel had no link with any Al-Qaeda man arrested from Lahore on Wednesday.

In a statement, the spokesman said that no staff member, not even a stringer, of the channel had been arrested in Afghanistan or Pakistan.

“One of our correspondent had hired one Fazalluah as a fixer on daily basis while visiting Tora Bora heights during the US operation against Al-Qaeda men,” he said. The job, he said, was purely temporary.
