HYDERABAD, April 4: Following the death of a girl, Bismeen Fazal Khaliq (6), who was crushed to death under the wheels of a coaster (PE-0699) on the Tando Mohammed Khan-Hyderabad road on Thursday, the residents of Iqbal Shah Colony held a protest demonstration by placing the girl’s body on the Tando Mohammed Khan road and blocking traffic for a couple of hours.

They refused to disperse despite assurances from the police that legal action would be taken in the matter.

However, the Nazim of union council 16, Latifabad, Syed M. Amin, and Councillor M. Ashraf Rajput rushed to the spot and pacified the protesters. They assured the people that the driver would be arrested and justice would be provided. On hearing this, the people ended the protest.
