Amin scoops skeet title

KARACHI, March 31: Unfancied Amin Karamat surprised Olympian Khurram Inam to clinch the skeet title in inaugural Sindh Governor’s Shooting Championship at Naval Shooting Complex Sunday.

The 35-year-old Amin fired rounds of 24, 23, 22 to finish on top with 138/150 points to snap the gold and helped host Sindh to take the overall trophy.

Bespectacled Khurram finished runners-up with 136/150 after he collected 24, 23 in the last two rounds and 22.

The trio of Amin, Khurram and Ahmed raised 343/375 points to win the team title. Navy with M. Shafiq, Noor and Usman in their fold collected the silver with 302/375. Balochistan took the bronze through Aamir Ghani, Asadullah and Zulfiqar Hakeem.

Among the juniors Ahmed Sultan won the skeet event with 29/50, Bilal Ahmed Khan 21/50 was second and Hamza Usman 20/50 finished third.
