KU, Sir Syed clash in final

HYDERABAD, March 30: Karachi University (KU) and Sir Syed University Karachi Saturday reached in the final of 6th All Sindh Inter-Universities cricketcChampionship defeating their opponents here at Niaz Stadium.

In the first semifinal, Karachi University defeated Mehran University of Engineering and Technology Jamshoro by 79 runs.

Batting first KU scored 208 for five wickets in 30 overs. Adeel Khan made 63 with the help of five boundaries while Farhan Iqbal added 52 runs. Haris Baig claimed two for 36.

In reply, Mehran University failed to achieve the target and bundled out at 129. Faisal Athar 43 was the leading scorer. Haris Ayaz claimed three of 23 while Adnan Kaleem and Muhammed Farukh shared two wickets each. Adeel Khan was declared man of the match.

In the second semifinal, Sir Syed University Karachi defeated Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences (LUMHS) Jamshoro by four wickets.

LUMHS was bundled out at 123. Rashid Jat played a fine innings of 50 runs with the help of five boundaries and two sixes. Waqas Javed bagged three wickets while Rao Arif and Kazi Azeem took two wickets each. In reply, Sir Syed University achieved the target for the loss ofsix wickets. Shahzad Yousuf 34 was the main scorer. Shahzad Yousuf was declared man of the match

The final will be played tomorrow at Niaz Stadium.—APP
