LAHORE, March 22: Crescent Spinning Mill will meet Guard Rice in the final of the Spring Cup polo tournament at the Lahore Polo Club Saturday (March 23).

In a match of the competition held on Friday, Shah Shamyl Alam scored four goals to carry Crescent Spinning Mill to an emphatic 6-3 win over Uni Gas.

For Crescent Spinning Mill, Umar Sadik also put in two goals. For Uni Gas, Captain Azhar Ali, Adnan Lone and Malik Asif Yar Tiwana scored one goal, apiece.

Nee Punhal won two matches of the tournament on Friday. Nee Punhal defeated BBJ Pipe by five goals to two-and-a-half.

BBJ Pipe had an advantage of half-a-goal on handicap and scored one goal, each through Kamran Zaidi and Ashfaq.

For Nee Punhal, Usman Haye struck thrice while Punhal Yar scored two goals.

In another match, Nee Punhal defeated Rachna Club by 4-1/2—2. Nee Punhal had an advantage of 1/2 on handicap and scored four goals during play. Usman Haye scored three goals in this match also. Maula Bakhsh put in one goal. For Rachna Club, Ameer Khan and Malik Asad scored one goal, each.

Rachna Club easily defeated BBJ Pipe/MVD by six goals to one. BBJ Pipe/MVD had an advantage of one goal on handicap and could not score any goal during play.

For Rachna Club, Azam Hayat Noon scored three goals while Syed Ali Hasnain struck twice and Malik Asad Hayat once.
