KU and PU meet in final

LAHORE, March 16: Punjab University and Karachi University qualified for final of the Inter-University basketball championship, defeating Sir Syed Engineering & Technology University and Bahauddin Zakriya University, respectively at the Government College courts Saturday.

The final will be held on Sunday at 9:30 am. The match for third place between the losing semi-finalists will be held earlier at 8:30 am.

In first semi-final, Punjab University defeated Sir Syed Engineering & Technology University 88-53. For winners, Atif scored 23, Amjad 22 and Adeel 20 points. For losers, Faizan scored 23 and Bilal 22 points.

In second semi-final, Karachi University beat Bahauddin Zakriya University 60-26. For winners, Arif scored 26, Umar 16 and Azeem 12 points.
