KARACHI, March 9: Many city areas have been facing an acute water shortage for the last two days.

The hard-hit areas include North Karachi’s sectors 5-D, 5-G and a portion of Sector 11-A, Azizabad, parts of PECHS Block 2 and 6, Bangalore Town, Adamjee Nagar and some different deficient pockets of Lyari and other Old City Area.

Residents of affected sectors of North Karachi said that on the one hand their turn for water comes after every five days and, on the other, they were being provided scant supply with a low pressure.

Another resident of North Karachi’s Sector 5-C-1 said that although an acute water shortage persists in their locality, the concerned officials of the KWSB have not yet managed to restore normal supply in the locality as the summer season was approaching fast.

The residents of the affected localities of the Township demanded of the City Nazim and senior officials of the KWSB to take measures to normalize water supply situation in their locality.
