ISLAMABAD, Feb 18: The PTCL has announced a Haj package, according to which rates of all outgoing calls from Pakistan to Saudi Arabia have been reduced by 20 per cent. The package which came into effect from Feb 16 will continue up to March 31, 2002.

As per the package, Rs10.40 would be charged for 20 seconds ISD calls and Rs93.60 for a three-minute station call with Rs31.20 for per additional minute.

Likewise Rs117 would be charged for a three-minute demand call with Rs31.20 per additional minute.

All these charges are exclusive of GST @ 15 per cent. The new package would greatly benefit the pilgrims’ relatives and friends, who now would be able to call them at very cheap rates. Last year PTCL had also announced a similar Haj package.

The facility will also be available on PTCL calling cards.—NNI
