VEHARI, Feb 13: People of all ages have been suffering from cold and cough and other diseases due to persistent dry spell, a survey conducted by this correspondent revealed here on Wednesday.

Scores of patients were seen in clinics run by general practitioners in various parts of the district as they charged nominal fees. At least 70 per cent of the patients complained of congestion and cough, it was learnt.

Dr Ahmad Tauheed Bhatti at the Divisional Headquarters Hospital said some cases of pneumonia had appeared during the last couple of days.

The survey revealed shortage of medicines at the state-run hospitals and dispensaries was also ailing the patients.
