Three held with drugs

NOWSHERA, Dec 12: Police seized 77kg charas and arrested three persons near the Attock Khurd checkpoint on Tuesday.

Police arrested Mohammad Wisal, a resident of Mardan, and seized 17kg charas from his car (5415). The charas was being smuggled to Islamabad.

Police seized 49kg charas from a car (LHB-3200) and arrested Zar Mohammad, resident of Mardan. The contraband was being smuggled to Punjab from Bara in the NWFP.

The Kund customs staff seized 11kg of charas from an Afghan national, Ahmad Mengal, resident of Chamkani near Peshawar, and arrested him.
