Shahid and Tariq shine

KARACHI, Nov 29: A fine allround performance by Shahid Iqal and Tariq Hussain, enabled Karachi Club to register an easy 31-run victory over Korangi Friends in the A.O. Floodlight Trophy played at the Asghar Ali Shah Stadium.

Deciding to have first use of the wicket after winning the toss, Karachi Club reached 149 for seven in their 20 overs through Shahid Iqbal (52) and Tariq Hussain (40). Tufail Ahmed bagged 2 for 37.

Chasing 150 runs for victory, Korangi Friends were bowled out for 118 runs in 18.2 overs. Saeed Asif top scored for his side with 43 runs.

Shahid Iqbal, using the new ball for good measure had figures of three for 15. He was ably supported by Tariq Hussain three for 15.
