DERA ISMAIL KHAN, Nov 22: Tehrik-i-Nifaz-i-Shariat-i-Muhammadi chief Sufi Muhammad, who was awarded three-year term by the political agent of Kurram Agency and sent to the Dera Ismail Khan jail with his 30 companions, has refused to see anybody other than his relatives.

In a statement sent to journalists who wanted to interview him on Thursday, Sufi Mohammed said he did not want to see anyone. Sources said that the TNSM leader had also refused jail food and arranged his own kitchen inside the jail.

The jail authorities said the TNSM leader was in a state of “shock” and his refusal to see anybody other than his relatives was justified.

Sufi Muhammad had led more than 10,000 volunteers into Afghanistan to fight Jihad but when he returned, he had with him only 40 of them.
