KARACHI: Carjacking incidents reviewed

KARACHI, Nov 21: Sindh Governor Mohammedmian Soomro has stressed the need for adopting coordinated and effective measures to check incidents of vehicle hijackings in the province.

Presiding over a meeting at the Governor’s House on Wednesday to review law and order situation, Mr Soomro emphasized the need for further improving the intelligence network.

He said every section and wing of the law-enforcing organizations should work with coordination and cooperation.

The governor directed continued action against anti-social elements in Karachi and interior of the province.

He instructed the officials to improve security measures at shopping centres and commercial areas.

The meeting was attended by Chief Secretary Javed Ashraf Hussain; Home Secretary Mukhtar Ahmed; DG Rangers, Maj-Gen Shahid Tirmizi; Principal Secretary Akhtar Zamin; IG Police, Syed Kamal Shah, and other officials. — APP
