PTCL sell-off

ISLAMABAD, April 30: A meeting of the inter-ministerial committee constituted by Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz held here on Saturday to review and enable the legislative framework to facilitate privatization of the Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL).

The meeting was presided over by Federal Minister for Privatization and Investment Dr Abdul Hafeez Shaikh and reviewed the proposed changes to the legislation and various decisions to facilitate the privatization process.

The meeting was told that the privatization process of PTCL had built up tremendous momentum in its transaction with bidders’ actively engaging PTCL in queries and receiving suitable responses.
