WASHINGTON, April 28: India and Pakistan are required to submit their response by May 9 to a list of neutral experts the World Bank has submitted to them, diplomatic sources told Dawn on Thursday. The list has three names of water engineers from Australia, Brazil and Switzerland who are experts on dams and run-of-the-river projects. India and Pakistan have to select one of these three as a neutral expert to help them settle a dispute over a dam India is building at Baglihar in occupied Kashmir.

If India and Pakistan do not object to the list, one person will be selected alphabetically to serve as a neutral expert in resolving the dispute.

If either India or Pakistan rejects all three, the World Bank will send them another list of three experts.
