LAHORE, April 26: Eight men in police uniform looted cash, jewellery and valuables worth Rs400,000 from a house in Gulshan-i-Iqbal on Tuesday. Tariq told police that the men visited his house and claimed to be officials of the investigation wing, demanding a search.

He said the “officials” whipped out pistols when they entered the house and held up the family members.They collected cash, jewellery and valuables worth Rs400,000 and escaped.

Four gunmen held up Shahid Qadeer shortly after he drew Rs700,000 from a bank at Cavalry Ground in South Cantonment and snatched away the money.

Mohsin Ali was on way home after drawing Rs250,000 from a bank when two armed men held him hostage in Shadman and took away the cash.

Two robbers snatched official weapons and a cell phone from two constable Shaukat Hayat and Mohammad Ashraf in Shahdara Town.
