LAHORE: Training workshop

LAHORE, Nov 4: A one-day training workshop for women councillors of Data Gunj Bakhsh Town Council will be held at Alhamra Hall-II on Nov 7.

The participants will be educated about their powers and responsibilities and checks and balances in the system by various executive district officers.

The workshop is aimed at capacity building of the participants for collecting revenue and explaining them various overheads.

Under the by-laws of the district government, each union council is empowered to form school, hospital, meena bazaar committees, etc. comprising one women councillor from the town council and six from the respective union council.
