14 officers promoted

ISLAMABAD, Feb 26: The government has promoted 14 officers of income tax and customs group from BS-19 to BS-20 grade. According to the notifications issued on Saturday, the income tax officers promoted from BS-19 to BS-20 and posted: Naseer Ahmed has been promoted and posted as Commissioner of Income Tax (CIT), Bahawalpur Zone, Bahawalpur; Manzoor Hussain Qureshi, CIT, Sukkur Zone, Sukkur; Asad Ali Jan, CIT (Appeals), Gujranwala Zone, Gujranwala; Ms Zareena N. Zaidi, CIT (Appeals-V), Karachi; Ms Riffat Shaheen Qazi, CIT (Appeals), Rawalpindi; Saadat Farooq Ahmad, CIT, Sialkot Zone, Sialkot.

The customs officials promoted and posted: Muhammad Bakhsh Tahir, as chief, CBR, Islamabad; Sohail Afzal, chief, Sales Tax Refund Repository, Lahore; Ms Riffat A. Hassan Abidi, collector, Collectorate of Sales Tax (Audit), Karachi; Rashid Ahmad, collector, Collectorate of Sales Tax (Enforcement), Karachi; Muhammad Nazim Saleem, collector, Collectorate of Sales Tax & Central Excise, Lahore; Muhammad Younas Khan, director, Intelligence & Investigation (C&E), Islamabad; Rozi Khan Burki, collector, Collectorate of Customs, ST & CE, Quetta; and Wahid Khurshid Kunwar, as chief, CBR, Islamabad.

The CBR also transferred and posted Habibullah Khan as additional commissioner (Audit), MTU, Karachi; Dr Faiz Ilahi Memon, additional commissioner (Enforcement), MTU, Karachi; and Raza Munawar, additional commissioner (Enforcement), LTU, Lahore.
