LAHORE, Feb 9: Opposition leader in the National Assembly Maulana Fazlur Rahman says Balochistan issue can be solved only through dialogue.

Speaking at a meeting of the Punjab general council of his faction of the JUI here on Wednesday, the Maulana said they were against any kind of operation in Balochistan.

The JUI-F is a ruling partner in the crisis-hit province. He said the religious alliance (MMA), of which the JUI-F is the largest component, would take part vigorously in the local body polls.

The alliance would help in advancing the democratic process and ensuring supremacy of the constitution and parliament, he pledged. He said assembly of all political forces was the need of the hour in the contemporary circumstances.
