Issuance of passport to BB urged

Published October 30, 2001

MIRPURKHAS, Oct 29: Former federal minister and Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) central leader Nawab Mohammad Yousuf Talpur has sharply reacted to the delay in issuance of passport to ex-prime minister Benazir Bhutto by the military government.

In a press statement here on Monday, the central executive committee member of the PPP said that the way the military government was treating democratic leadership of the country was tantamount to curb 95 per cent of the people of the country.

He claimed that Musharraf government was deliberately pursuing the policy of victimising the biggest political party of the country, the Pakistan Peoples Party, while it was tacitly giving free hand to those bent upon imposing civil war on the society.
