ISLAMABAD, Dec 25: A meeting between Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz and the opposition leader in the National Assembly, Maulana Fazlur Rehman, has been scheduled for Dec 29, sources said on Saturday.

Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal Deputy Secretary-General Liaquat Baloch said on being contacted: "I am not sure but I believe a meeting is scheduled for Dec 29 or 30."

He said the MMA would stick to its demand that that President Gen Pervez Musharraf should leave his army post by Dec 31. "There will be no compromise on this issue," he said.

Official sources told Dawn that "the meeting is most likely to take place within this month".
