ISLAMABAD, Dec 25: The commerce ministry has set an export target of $7.172 billion for the second half (January-June) of the current fiscal year for achieving the annual target of $13.7 billion.
A commerce ministry official told Dawn that the export target set for the first half (July-Dec) of the current fiscal year was at $6.528 billion. Of these, up to November 2004, products worth $5.370 billion were exported during the period under review.
For achieving the target set for the first half, exports worth around $1.158 billion will have to be made during the month of December 2004.
The break-up of export target for the second half stood at $1.151 billion for January, $982 million for February, $1.129 billion for March, $1.207 billion for April, $1.243 billion for May and $1.460 billion for June, 2005.
