National boxing schedule revised

KARACHI, Dec 18: The Pakistan Boxing Federation (PBF) announced on Saturday change in schedule for the 30th National boxing championship to avoid coincidence with Eid-ul-Azha, which falls on the day previously slated for the event.

The championship to be held in all weight categories will now be played on Feb 15-18 at Jawad Sports and Cultural Club, Faisalabad.

Vice-president PBF Shah Naeem Zafar said that the organisers had informed all the associations and team managers about the change in schedule.

The last date for entries is Jan 4.

Pakistan Steel Mills, Pakistan Navy, Army, PTCL, KESC, KPT, NWFP, HEC, Wapda, Pakistan Air Force, Pakistan Railways, Punjab, Balochistan and Sindh are in the contention.-PPI
