WASHINGTON, Oct 29: The White House confirmed on Monday that President Bush will meet Gen Pervez Musharraf in New York on Nov 10.

Gen Musharraf will address the United Nations General Assembly on the same day.

White House press secretary Ari Fleischer, confirming the Bush-Musharraf meeting, said both the president and Secretary of State Colin Powell were working closely with Pakistan and there was close cooperation with Islamabad.

President Bush’s meeting with Gen Musharraf will follow Mr Bush’s meeting with Indian Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee in Washington on Nov 9.
