TOBA TEK SINGH, Nov 16: Two constables were killed by stray bullets on Tuesday morning near River Ravi, some 45km away from here on Pirmahal-Abdul Hakeem Road.
Muhammad Arshad and Abdul Ghaffar were on duty at Sidhnai Headworks. A villager of nearby village, Muhammad Hanif, was firing at a mad dog when the policemen were hit by bullets as a result Arshad died on the spot. Ghaffar succumbed to his injuries on way to hospital.
Arrouti police have registered a case against the accused who managed to escape.
