Warm-up match on 28th

LAHORE, Nov 10: Pakistan have decided to play only one warm-up game against New Zealand on Nov 28 before the Champions Trophy to be held here from Dec 4 to 12.

The decision was taken after a meeting between secretary of the PHF and team manager on Wednesday morning.

Spain and Germany had also requested for practice matches. But after PHF's refusal, Spain would now play two-Test series against India before reaching here for the Trophy.

Pakistan have avoided facing Germany in the practice match as the hosts are scheduled to meet the world champions in the opening match. Spain's request has been rejected, keeping in view the bad experience when Pakistan won a pre-Olympic tournament involving Spain but lost a crucial game of the Games to Spaniards.

According to the manager decision has been taken after consulting all the officials.

Ghazanfar Ali and Mohammad Shabbir, the two players missing from camp, have reached Pakistan from abroad and were likely to attend the camp from Thursday, official said.
