BAHAWALPUR, Nov 10: An inquiry has been ordered into the killing of one Abdul Razzaq of Basti Shahdra by a bus stand police party.

A two-member committee comprising ASPs of headquarters and legal branch will probe the allegations against police.

Meanwhile, Sub-Inspector Meraj, a constable and two officials of Elite Force were placed under suspension on Wednesday.

Razzaq was killed on Tuesday when he was allegedly pushed by the police party which had raided his house to arrest his son. He fell on the floor and died on the spot.

REPORT: Police have sought a detailed report about the movement of 20 people who were recently released from the jails of Afghanistan and Cuba.

It is learnt on Wednesday that the local police had been asked to furnish details of their workplaces and residences on fortnightly basis. In case they have shifted their residences, their new address should be found immediately, the directive said.

Police have also directed to keep a vigilant eye on them so that they might not fall in the hands of terrorists or any anti-state organization.
