KARACHI, Nov 9: A doctor was killed by unknown persons at Sandspit. Police said Dr Nasir Iqbal Shah, 38, was living in his hut N-66 since last one-and-a-half year.

On Tuesday morning, dogs started barking outside his hut, which attracted the attention of a chowkidar of a neighbouring hut who found the doctor dead.

The police recovered a hammer lying close to the body.

The body was shifted to the Civil Hospital for post-mortem examination.

ROBBERY: An expatriate was robbed of cash, jewellry and other valuables when he reached his North Nazimabad residence from airport.

Mr Yousaf had arrived from the US early Tuesday morning. He used a radio cab to reach his house. As he and the driver were taking the luggage from the cab, five armed suspects took them inside the house.

They searched the house and deprived Mr Yousaf of foreign currency.

Before fleeing, the suspects also took away cellular phones of all the inmates.
