PM hosts reception for envoys

ISLAMABAD, Nov 8: Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz hosted an Iftar-dinner in honour of the ambassadors of Muslim countries at the Prime Minister's House here on Monday.

The reception was attended among others by President Gen Pervez Musharraf, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee Gen Ehsanul Haque, ambassadors and diplomats of Muslim countries, Foreign Minister Khurshid Mehmood Kasuri, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Makhdoom Khusroo Bakhtiar, PML Secretary-General Senator Mushahid Hussain Syed, Minister for Local Government and Rural Development Justice (retired) Abdul Razzaq Thahim, Minister of State for Economic Affairs Hina Rabbani Khar and Minister of State for Tourism Sumaira Malik.

A number of ambassadors and diplomats from the Western and other countries also attended the reception.

On the occasion, the president and the prime minister mixed with the guests and exchanged views on issues of mutual interest.
