LAHORE, Nov 7: District Officer (Architecture) Muhammad Taloot, who had received head injuries during an unsuccessful operation for ejectment of the occupants of the Harbanspura Journalist Colony site on Saturday morning , remained in a coma in the Lahore General Hospital on Sunday.

Provincial Communications and Works Minister Chaudhry Zaheeruddin, Tourism Minister Mian Muhammad Aslam Iqbal, District Nazim Mian Amer Mahmood, District Coordination Officer Khalid Sultan, Nishtar Town Nazim Rafiq Hasrat and a large number of CDG officers and employees visited the hospital to inquire after him.

Mian Amer Mahmood and DCO Khalid Sultan said strict action would be taken against those responsible for injuring the DO and resisting the CDG attempt to take possession of the state land.

The DCO later visited the Harbanspura police station on Saturday and got a case registered against more than 800 unidentified people who attacked the demolition squad.
