KARACHI, Nov 6: An anti-terrorism court in Karachi on Saturday adjourned hearing of trial against Dr Akmal Waheed and his brother Dr Arshad Waheed, facing charges for sheltering Al-Qaeda, Jundullah activists, providing them funds and medical treatment.

"The hearing of the trial could not be proceeded due to non appearance of special public prosecutors, defence counsel Shaukat Hayat said. ATC judge Feroz Mehmood Bhatti fixed next hearing for Nov 13, he added.

Dr. Akmal Waheed, a cardiac specialist of the NICVD and Dr. Arshad Waheed, a kidney physician of the JMPC, were arrested by the police on July 3, from Malir in connection of their alleged links with Jundullah activists and involvement in corps commander motorcade attack and law enforcers killing cases.-PPI
