KARACHI, Nov 3: City Nazim Naimatullah Khan has said that no one has the right to appoint administrators in districts, towns and UCs and that the present nazims would continue to function till the end of their tenures.

He was speaking as chief guest at the introductory ceremony of the City Games-2004 at the KWSB Officers Club on Tuesday night.

Mr Khan said that some people were speaking against the two-nation theory, but no power on earth could erase it from the minds of people. Pakistan would continue to be an ideological state, he added.

He stressed that the two-nation theory was the basis of Pakistan and it would continue as such. "No one can do away with this ideology as Muslims and Hindus have different cultures and civilizations."

Naimatullah Khan said the Karachi district government's effort was to make Karachi a model and peaceful city and for this purpose his team was serving people with all sincerity and honesty. "We have put in all our energies for the progress and reconstruction of Karachi," he declared.-APP
