KHAIRPUR, Nov 1: Workers and officer-bearers of the Pakistan Muslim League-N held a condolence meeting here on Monday to pay tribute to Mian Mohammad Sharif, father of former Prime Minister Mohammad Nawaz Sharif.

Khairpur PML-N general-secretary Abdul Majeed Shaikh presided over the meeting.

The participants offered Fateha and expressed condolence with the bereaved family.

They criticized the government for not allowing the Sharif brothers to attend the burial of their father.

On this occasion, Syed Ghaus Ali Shah asked workers by telephone from London to observe three days' mourning for Mian Sharif.

Another condolence meeting was held at the residence of Sindh National Qaumi Jamhoori Party leader Imtiaz Hussain Phulpoto in Garhi Pul.

PML-N workers also held condolence meetings in Mithri, Kot Dijo, Garhi Mori, Kingri, and Faiz Ganj talukas.
