PESHAWAR, Oct 31: Minister for Information and Public Relations Asif Iqbal Daudzai has said the MMA government provided flour bags to poor people by bearing an additional load of Rs35 million in Ramazan.

He was speaking at a religious ceremony held here at the Jamia Mosque Shagai Balla, Naguman.

He said the provincial government was discharging its duties in accordance with teachings of Islam and trying its best to facilitate people. The government, he said, had arranged 15,000 bags of flour for constituencies of all the MPAs to be provided to people at low rates during Ramazan.

The government was also making efforts to control price hike, but the price control committees were under the control of district governments and therefore the federal government was being contacted to remove the obstacle.-APP
