APL attains ISO 14001

RAWALPINDI, Oct 21: Attock Petroleum Limited (APL) has announced that it has attained ISO 14001: 1996 certification in recognition of its environmental-friendly products, policies and systems. It had last year attained ISO 9001: 2000 certification for quality management system.

The ISO 14001 accreditation means a company has proven to an independent auditing company that it consistently delivers compliance to its stated environment management standards, it has established a system of continuous monitoring and improvement of the activities relating to those standards, and in general that it has developed effective process management systems, says a press release.

This has been accomplished by their emphasis on providing environment friendly quality products and services based on needs of their valued customers. They approach the challenge by getting customer satisfaction and loyalty by focusing on two-way communication, unparalleled performance, continuous improvement in all functions of the organization and strict compliance with international standards of health safety and environment.

Attock Petroleum Limited is an associated member of Attock Oil Group of Companies, a fully integrated group covering all segments of oil and gas industry from exploration, production, and refining to marketing of a wide range of petroleum products. APL is focused to provide modern facilities in terms of extensive storage, transportation and retail outlet network for marketing of quality and environment friendly petroleum products, including its own brand of lubricants nationwide.

Apart from this endeavour a new storage facility is being set up at the Port Qasim from where the major part of exports/imports would be handled. APL is also playing an important role in the reconstruction of Afghanistan by exporting petroleum products, including road bitumen, and providing technical support and services.
