KARACHI: Loadshedding issue discussed

KARACHI, Oct 18: Federal Water and Power Minister Liaquat Ali Jatoi called on Sindh Chief Minister Dr Arbab Ghulam Rahim on Monday.

A number of issues were discussed at the meeting which took place at the Chief Minister's House, a press release said. It said that the two discussed in detail the programme of provision of electricity in the province.

Dr Rahim also discussed with the federal minister the issues of loadshedding, besides provision of electricity to various towns and villages in the province.

Sindh Education Minister Dr Hamida Khuhro also called on Sindh chief minister and apprised him of the efforts that had been made for the promotion of education in the province.

Meanwhile, a delegation of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement also called on the chief minister.

The delegation, according to a press release, consisted of ministers and members of the assembly. t said that various matters, including the development activities in the province, came under discussion during the meeting.

The delegation comprised Senior Minister Syed Sardar Ahmed, MNA Dr Farooq Sattar, provincial minister for Industries and Labour, Mohammad Adil Siddiqui, and MPA Kanwar Naveed.-APP
